On the night Uzimo burned, Yuri offered her voice as a sacrifice, weeping before the fox spirit for the power to reduce her foes to ashes. Moved by her tears, the spirit plucked a thread of her scorched soul and wove it with consuming flames into a hairpin. This flame freezes bones and corrodes hearts, yet for Kigiri alone, she plays a silent requiem-may he hear a forgotten lullaby the instant his blade falls.
