Watcher of Realms Patch Notes – January 6, 2026

Here are the official Watcher of Realms update notes for January 6, 2026, including hero and artifact adjustments, account security upgrades, Legendary Awakening Token changes, Malrik’s Halls of Illusion updates, a new Demon Soldier faction, Guild War reward improvements, and more.


Patch Overview

  • Heroes & Artifacts: Multiple hero adjustments, exclusive Artifact changes, and 4 new Artifacts added.
  • Account Optimization: New Security Lock and Login Device Management features added.
  • Legendary Awakening Tokens: Token gains and Soulstone redemption prices adjusted, with compensation planned.
  • Malrik’s Halls of Illusion: New Molten Obsidian keystone, Background Auto-fight, and multiple UI and reward updates.
  • Demon Soldiers: New Bloodspring faction added, multiple balance changes, and major system optimizations.
  • Guild War: Rewards significantly enhanced, including new Gem rewards and improved seasonal rewards.
  • Other Updates: Pantheon bonuses, Apex Shop adjustments, Camp goals, Backup Storage tools, Void Rift automation, and more.

Heroes & Artifacts

Diaochan, Moon’s Radiance

  • Fixed an issue where Basic ATKs in [Song of Sorrow] stance were considered healing skills.
  • Unhealable heroes can now normally gain the Inspiration and Penetration effects granted by Basic ATKs in [Song of Sorrow] stance.

Talin, The Spiritclaw Druid

  • Optimized the description of Berserker Stance.

Torodor, The Undying Bull

  • Optimized the skill description of Atrocious Trample.

Ezareth, The World Eater

  • Fixed an issue where BP calculation did not correctly account for attribute bonuses.

Arrogance, Cinderstalker Zukhil

Skill Adjustments

[Hellfire]

Before:
The hero enters Berserker Stance, dealing 260/300/300/360/360% DMG with each ATK launched and increasing ATK Range. When attacking any distant target, the hero’s weapon transforms into a demon boomerang.

After:
The hero enters Berserker Stance, dealing 260/300/300/360/360% DMG with each ATK launched and increasing ATK Range. During this period, the hero attacks with the demon boomerang.

[Devil’s Dance]

1) Before:
Demon blades: 15/15/20/20/25% chance for double strikes.

After:
Demon blades/demon boomerang: 15/15/20/20/25% chance for double strikes.

  • Optimized the skill upgrade description for [Devil’s Dance] in certain languages.

Awakening Adjustments

  • [Awakened III] DMG Increase against targets inflicted with Burning +20%.
  • [Awakened V] Immediately gains the maximum ATK Spd. Bonus from Talent upon entering Berserker Stance. For the first 5 Basic ATKs in Berserker Stance, DMG is increased by an additional 100%, and inflicts 20% Vulnerability (P. DMG) for 5 sec.

Gisele, The Eternal Duelist

Talent Adjustment

[Bloodbane]

Before:
Deals 120% AoE DMG to up to 3 enemies in range of the target.

After:
Deals 160% AoE DMG to up to 5 enemies in range of the target.

Skill Adjustment

[Oblivion Strike]

Before:
Increases DMG dealt to enemies with HP Percentage higher than 60/60/60/50/50% by 14/16/18/18/20%.

After:
Increases DMG dealt to enemies with HP Percentage higher than 60/60/60/50/50% by 25/30/35/35/40%.

Awakening Adjustments

  • [Awakened I] Ultimate’s DMG Frequency multiplies, but the Ultimate’s DMG Multiplier -20%.
  • [Awakened III] When deployed, immediately gains 100% Rage. Cannot die during the Ultimate.
  • [Awakened V] When the Talent deals DMG, DMG Multiplier +40%.

Bond Skill Adjustment

[Vampiric Charm]

Before:
Obtain hero Selene, The Bloodspiller Viscount to unlock the following bonus effect: Reduces Gisele’s first deployment Cost by 2, and increases her DMG by 20% for 60 sec during her first deployment.

After:
Obtain hero Selene, The Bloodspiller Viscount to unlock the following bonus effect: Reduces Gisele’s first deployment Cost by 2, and increases her DMG by 30% for 60 sec during her first deployment.

Iovar, The Forest Sentinel

Talent Adjustment

Before:
Conjures 1 flying sword every 4 sec. There can be at most 12 flying swords at the same time. Every extra allied Marksman on the field increases the conjuring speed of flying swords. When there are 4 extra Marksmen in battle, the conjuring speed maxes out, reaching 1 flying sword every 2 sec.

After:
Conjures 1 flying sword every 4 sec. There can be at most 12 flying swords at the same time. Anti-Air DMG increases by 20%. Every extra allied Marksman on the field increases the conjuring speed of flying swords. When there are 2 extra Marksmen in battle, the conjuring speed maxes out, reaching 1 flying sword every 2 sec.

Skill Adjustment

[Lethal Bladestorm]

Before:
After an allied Marksman casts their Ultimate, gains 1 flying sword, and the following 3 Basic ATKs of the hero ignore an extra 15/18/21/25/30% DEF.

After:
After an allied Marksman casts their Ultimate, gains 1 flying sword, and the following 4 Basic ATKs of the hero ignore an extra 30/35/40/45/50% DEF.

Lady Mina, The Eternal Bride

Skill Adjustment

[Basic ATK]

Before:
Deals 100% M. DMG to 1 enemy.

After:
Deals 70% Piercing P. DMG to 3 enemies.

Talent Adjustment

Before:
Basic ATK can inflict Blood Sigil for 2.5 sec and 50% Slow on targets. Every 5 Basic ATKs can trigger enhanced Basic ATK, dealing 100% AoE M. DMG to up to 5 enemies and inflicting Blood Sigil for 2.5 sec and 50% Slow on them.

After:
Basic ATK can inflict Blood Sigil for 5 sec and 50% Slow for 3 sec on targets. Every 5 Basic ATKs can trigger enhanced Basic ATK, dealing 100% AoE Piercing P. DMG to up to 5 enemies and inflicting Blood Sigil for 5 sec and 50% Slow for 3 sec on them.

Ultimate

  • [Eternal Darkness] duration increased by 2 sec.

Awakening Adjustment

[Awakened III]

Before:
Basic ATK hits 3 targets simultaneously. When a Basic ATK deals DMG to enemies inflicted with Blood Sigil, it restores HP equal to 2% of Max HP to the hero.

After:
When Lady Mina’s Basic ATK deals DMG to enemies inflicted with Blood Sigil, she restores HP equal to 2% of Max HP to herself. When the Ultimate is not activated, increases DMG dealt by Lady Mina and the allied hero with the highest ATK to targets inflicted with Blood Sigil by 12%.

Exclusive Artifact

[The Dawnbringer]

Before:
Upon the death of an enemy inflicted with Blood Sigil, restores the hero’s Rage by 2%. This effect can be triggered up to 1 time every 5 sec.

After:
Increases ATK by 20/22/24/26/28/30%. Enhanced Basic ATK restores the hero’s Rage by 2%.

Valeriya, The Beast Knight

Skill Adjustment

  • [Basic ATK] range expanded to within 2 tiles ahead.

Ultimate

[Blood Infusion]

Before:
Increases DMG by 80/100/120/120/120%.

After:
Increases DMG by 100/120/140/140/140%.

Awakening Adjustments

[Awakened III]

Before: During the Ultimate, ignores 20% of the enemy’s DEF.
After: During the Ultimate, ignores 30% of the enemy’s DEF.

[Awakened IV]

Before: Crit. Rate +8%.
After: Penetration +8%.

[Awakened V]

Before: During the Ultimate, there is a 50% chance to accumulate 2 stacks of Power of the Sword for each ATK, up to 12 stacks in total.
After: During the Ultimate, there is a 70% chance to accumulate 2 stacks of Power of the Sword for each ATK, up to 15 stacks in total.

Exclusive Artifact

  • [Serpent’s Kiss]

Before:
During the Ultimate, for each ATK dealt, increases Crit. DMG by 10/15/20/25/30/35%, stacking up to 3 times. This effect expires after the Ultimate ends.

Other Adjustments

  • Optimized the HP deduction logic for heroes who deal DMG to themselves to prevent self-inflicted death.
  • Fixed an issue where Velisse’s summons would continuously follow Sythra’s summons when [Velisse, Uncoiled Desire] and [Sythra, The Serpent’s Embrace] were deployed together.

Artifact Adjustments

[Arrogance, Cinderstalker Zukhil]’s exclusive Artifact [Eye of Mockery]

Before:
Increases DMG dealt to targets inflicted with Burning by 20/22/24/26/28/30%. During the effect of Hellfire, attacking nearby enemies will also inflict Burning on them for 5 sec.

After:
Increases DMG by 20/22/24/26/28/30%. During Hellfire, ignores 10% DEF when attacking enemies inflicted with Burning.

  • [Twinfiend, The Brothers Grotesque]’s exclusive Artifact [The Devil’s Gaze]: Fixed an error in the Artifact skill description.

Before: During Destruction Command.
After: During the effect of Meteoric Strike.

  • Artifact [Dwarven Strider]: Fixed an error in the Artifact skill description.

Before: All attributes.
After: Basic attributes.

New Artifacts

  • [Hand of Doom] Increases DMG by 15/17/19/21/23/25%. Upon killing 3 enemies, increases the hero’s Penetration by 10%.
  • [Hate’s Contagion] Increases AoE DMG by 15/16/17/18/19/20%. When dealing DMG to 3 or more enemies simultaneously, permanently increases AoE DMG by an extra 1%, stacking up to 10 times.
  • [Aureate Pledge] When HP is above 80%, increases DMG by 20/22/24/26/28/30%.
  • [Resonance Bell] Increases DMG by 15/17/19/21/23/25%. If there are adjacent allies, further increases DMG by 10%.

Account Optimization

  • Added a Switch Account button to the tutorial stage battle scenario. Players can now use the feature during tutorial stage battles.
  • New features added: [Security Lock] and [Login Device Management].

Security Lock

  • The [Security Lock] feature enhances account security and protects your account from theft.
  • Once enabled, any attempt to bind a new login method will require security verification.
  • Please do not share your [Security Lock] info with others to avoid loss of account assets.
  • One Security Lock email address cannot be bound to multiple accounts.
  • Please bind Security Lock with an email address that you can use long-term and receive emails normally.
  • After binding, you can obtain the verification code via [Security Lock] in [Settings > Account Settings] to unbind or change the Security Lock.

Login Device Management

  • After binding Security Lock, you can use [Login Device Management] to manage devices logged into the current account after the feature launch.
  • Records prior to this update cannot be retrieved.
  • If you remove a device, it will be required to re-verify upon its next login.
  • Due to privacy protection policies, if you bind the same email to both email login and Security Lock, the email address may look different. This display issue does not affect functionality.

Legendary Awakening Tokens Adjustments

  • Increased the number of [Legendary Awakening Tokens] obtained from dismissing Legendary Lord heroes and The Unnamable heroes from 100 to 800.
  • Adjusted redemption prices for certain Hero Soulstones in the Awakening Shop.

Legendary Lord Hero Soulstones: adjusted from [Legendary Awakening Token] x6,000 to [Legendary Awakening Token] x4,800.
Exclusive Legendary Hero Soulstones: adjusted from [Legendary Awakening Token] x3,000 to [Legendary Awakening Token] x2,400.
Ancient Summoning exclusive Hero Soulstones: adjusted from [Legendary Awakening Token] x3,000 to [Legendary Awakening Token] x2,400.

  • After this update, compensation for these adjustments will be issued to all Commanders via in-game mail.
  • The compensation will be calculated based on the Commander’s historical dismissal records and Awakening Shop redemption records to cover the difference in [Legendary Awakening Tokens] resulting from this adjustment.
  • All compensation mails are expected to be sent within 7 working days after the update.

Malrik’s Halls of Illusion

  • Added a new type of Trial Keystone: Molten Obsidian. Players can use it to challenge new ultimate trial stages in Malrik’s Halls of Illusion.
  • In Titanic Ruins – Matrix I, the Trial Keystone reward will be replaced by Molten Obsidian.
  • Reduced the difficulty of Lvl. 1 Mossy Quartz.
  • Added Background Auto-fight for Trial Keystones. You can select 10 keystones at a time for background fight, and the results will be processed after the battle ends.
  • Added a special mark for Trial Keystones containing Diamond Goblin King.
  • Added a completion display to the battle results screen.
  • Trial Keystone icons now display their remaining energy.
  • The quantity of Trial Keystones consumed for the current month will be directly displayed in the interface.
  • When Trial Keystone Storage is full, ongoing Auto-fights in Gear Raid and Gear Dungeon will stop.
  • Optimized the Bulk Destroy function for Trial Keystones.
  • Added a display for the deployment limit for each corresponding level to the item details of Trial Keystones.
  • Adjusted the rewards for certain Mossy Quartz.

Demon Soldier

New Demon Soldier Faction

New Demon Soldier Faction: [Bloodspring]

  • A survival-oriented faction that gains a numerical advantage through strong survivability, overwhelming the opponent’s defense team.

[Faction Lord] Demon Captain – Countess Mariath
A powerful survival-oriented Demon Captain that provides a strong survival environment for other Demon Soldiers, and also features an Ultimate that can be manually released at precise moments. Players can choose between the 2 forms of this Demon Captain before battle to counter the opponent’s defense team.

Lord Skill:
(1) Increases basic attributes of faction team Demon Soldiers by 15%.
(2) When deployed, grants corresponding DMG Reduction effects to other deployed Demon Soldiers based on her form, lasting for a period of time.

  • [Legendary Demon Soldier – Baron Salem] possesses strong survivability and can enhance the survivability of other Demon Soldiers.
  • [Legendary Demon Soldier – Specter Skeleton Archer] has the ability to counterattack and can deal Direct DMG to the first hero that attacks it.
  • [Legendary Demon Soldier – Twisted Sycophant] is a Mob Demon Soldier with decent survivability.

Existing Demon Soldier Adjustments

  • [Demon Soldier – Adag’s Follower] Basic ATK Range +1.
  • [Demon Soldier – Infernal Cleric] Arcane Veil grants an extra 20% DMG Increase effect.
  • [Demon Soldier – Ice Vermin] HP +10%, DEF and M. RES +5%.
  • [Demon Soldier – Frost Canid] HP +10%, DEF and M. RES +5%.
  • [Demon Soldier – Batwings Banshee] joined the Bloodspring faction.
  • [Demon Soldier – Tormented Banshee] joined the Bloodspring faction.

[Demon Captain – Maw] Adjusted skill unlock conditions:
Unlocked at Lvl. 3 >> Unlocked at Lvl. 2

[Demon Captain – Scalekin Champion]

  • Adjusted skill unlock conditions:
    Unlocked at Lvl. 3 >> Unlocked at Lvl. 2
    Unlocked at Lvl. 5 >> Unlocked at Lvl. 3
    Unlocked at Lvl. 7 >> Unlocked at Lvl. 5
  • Adjusted the Ultimate effect: Removed the increase of DMG taken; raised the DMG Increase to 50% and reduced ATK Interval by 25%; Effect Duration reduced to 10 sec.

[Demon Captain – Slaughter] Adjusted skill unlock conditions:

Other Demon Soldier Updates

  • Added Class filter to Demon Soldier filter.
  • Viewing details in Demon Soldier Details or Demon Troops will no longer reset the Demon Soldier filter.
  • Adjusted sorting in Demon Soldier Details so upgradable Demon Soldiers display first.
  • When long-pressing to view Demon Soldier details in Demon Troops, the Demon Soldier Attribute will be displayed by default.
  • Increased the Energy recovery rate of Demon Soldiers in battle.
  • Increased Demon Soldiers’ attribute growth per level.
  • Optimized Demon Soldier BP calculation by reducing the BP value corresponding to their attributes, ensuring more accurate comparisons with heroes.

Guild War

  • Significantly enhanced Guild War rewards effective after the update.

Season Rewards Enhanced

  • Added Soulstone Shard rewards to all tiers, with quantity depending on the tier.
  • Added an animated Avatar Border reward for the top 3 Guilds.
  • Added Evolution Gem rewards for Gold and above, Variant Gem rewards for Platinum and above, and Transmutation Gem rewards for Overlord.

Guild Match Rewards Enhanced

  • Added Random Gem Chest rewards. Chest quality depends on the match result and Guild tier.
  • After obtaining a chest, go to Storage to use it.
  • High-quality chests have a chance to yield advanced Gems such as Transmutation Gem(s) and Variant Gem(s).

Single-Attack Rewards Improved

  • Improved single-attack rewards for Guild War Tier A (Platinum and above).
  • When attacking a real player’s Stronghold, destroying the Soul Core guarantees a Gem reward.
  • You will randomly receive one of the following: Augmentation Gem, Advanced Augmentation Gem, Runic Augmentation Gem, Darkfall Gem, or Evolution Gem.
  • Bot Strongholds do not drop Gem rewards.
  • Optimized the Guild War matchmaking experience.
  • Optimized the red dot logic for Guild War Marshals. The red dot will no longer appear when there are no Marshals available for appointment in the Guild.

Others

  • Following the version update, 2 new attribute bonuses for Demon Soldiers will be added to the Pantheon, along with related event levels and rewards.
  • After the update, the following adjustments will take effect in the Apex Shop:
  • Lowered the exchange requirement for Lady Alexandra to Platinum III.
  • Added a Destiny Demon Chest and Mystery Demon Chests to the exchange.
  • Added Molten Obsidian to the exchange.
  • Hero Summon: Increased the maximum cumulative summon rewards from 40,000 to 80,000 summons. Key additions include Legendary Awakening Token, Rare Summoning Crystal, and Unpolished Legendary Soulstone Shard.
  • Added Gallery collection rewards for each faction, granting Attribute bonuses to heroes of all factions.
  • Added a new page in the Hero List to view usage of Soulstones. This page is accessed via the button previously used for resetting a single hero, and unlocks after using any Legendary Soulstone.
  • Added achievements and rewards related to Hero Awakened V.
  • Added achievements related to Malrik’s Halls of Illusion, Artifact Augment, Gems, and Faction Trials.
  • Added a goal system to the Camp, featuring Daily, Weekly, and Challenge Goals. Players can select and display preset goals, and quickly complete or navigate to them.
  • Goal System: Changed the Daily Goals option of claiming Drake’s Chasm Chests to “Challenge Drake’s Chasm 2 times.”
  • Increased the maximum number of gear recommendation plans from 25 to 50.
  • Added “Forge x30/x50” options to Gear Forge. Players can freely toggle this feature. If disabled, only “Forge x10” will be displayed.
  • If you have enough Forge Materials for 30 or 50 forges, the “Forge x10” option will change to “Forge x30/x50.”
  • Added a new Gem: Perfect Darkfall Gem. Upon use, it grants a significant boost to a piece of gear’s Primary Attribute. This Gem can be obtained from Molten Obsidian stages.
  • Optimized usage of [Gem]. When using an [Evolution Gem] or a [Variant Gem], you can now choose to keep your original gear instead of accepting the new outcome.
  • Added new tabs to Backup Storage: Storage Management and Bulk Dismiss.
  • Storage Management covers the original Backup Storage functions and adds a filter feature.
  • Added a Bulk Dismiss function, allowing you to dismiss heroes without moving them to Storage.
  • Bulk Dismiss now supports selecting all 3-star heroes at once.
  • Added a skip function for Boss stages in Normal, Elite, and Hard difficulties of Void Rift. If a battle record is saved and the stage is challengeable, you can use the skip function to skip the battle directly.
  • Added an Auto-fight function for Boss stages in Nightmare difficulty of Void Rift. After the update, you must manually clear the stage 1 time to save the battle record before you can use Auto-fight.
  • Added a “Name” sorting option to Artifact Storage.
  • When performing Artifact Promotion, you can now check an option to hide enhanced Artifacts.
  • Faction-exclusive Rings will now feature a wider variety of Primary Attributes.
  • Avatar Border effects are no longer displayed in the selection list of the Avatar Border adjustment interface.
  • Added multiple Attack Team presets to the Arena. Commanders with a historical highest rank of Platinum I or above can select and use these presets in the Arena. Presets can be changed and saved via the Arena or Friendly Faceoff.
