This is mostly duplicate of another thread but I wanted to post again to bring more attention and clarity.

 

Every guide I have seen for this game starts with heroes then suggest gear. The issue is the game often works the other way. How many times have you scored a great piece of gear but it’s a set you don’t use every day? Additionally, what if it is a faction exclusive piece? Hero guides nearly always say to use soulbound arcana or cataclysm but many exclusive pieces are Hells Lament.

 

My request- a guide based on gear that suggest who to place gear on based on the gear, rather than based on the hero. Additionally, a section of that guide that indicates which faction members benefit more from faction exclusive gear than they do the bonus from the more traditionally recommended sets.

I feel ya here.  Generally though, I try to suggest the gearset with that taken into consideration.  For example: If Silas does more overall damage in testing wearing Hells Lament vs Infernal roar with his Exclusive I would just suggest Hell’s Lament as the optimal set.

Prospector.GG v2.0 is in the works though..And, I’ll be able to add multiple builds per hero and fine detail including exclusives and everything so.  It’s on the way!

That looks awesome and I look forward to checking it out. The only issue i have is that it is still hero first gear second. My wish is for a feature that is gear first then hero. Maybe I play different than most, I am far more likely to get new great gear than I am to need to redo the gear on an existing hero. I have enough good sets to keep most of my heroes equipped.
