Quick Checklist: Hero BP Optimization

1. Pick Your Content,

o Tide → Optimize squad in this order: Fighters → Tacticians → Marksmen → Mages → Defenders → Healers.
o Guild Wars/GvG → Focus on your top 5 heroes, prioritizing Lords.

2. Gear Optimization,

o Use Quick Equip as a starting point.
o DPS → Wicked Vengeance + Ageless Wrath.
o Healers → Light Grace + Invigoration / Wings of Grace. o Defenders → Astral Guardian + Tempered Will.
o Lower develop accounts may see T2 gear.
o Manually compare each slot → check exclusives gear pieces and faction exclusive rings. o Broken sets are fine.

3. Artifacts,

o Fighters → Wailing Skull.

o If a normal legendary projects under ~5,000 BP vs your Lord, pick the Lord. • Lords bring higher BP into Demon Soldier affiliation and gain an ~18% stat bonus on demon soldier affiliation.
• Consider Legendary Crystals to skill key heroes.

Gear Optimization Process

1. Make all gear available.,
2. Quick Equip:,

o Right side (bangle, amulet, ring): check exclusives, faction rings, and other sets (Cataclysm, Hell’s Lament, Soulbound Arcana, Infernal Roar).

Is the extra BP obtained from Tacticians in Tide a bug the developers will “fix” or just a nice surprise?  I’m using all three fully skilled tacticians, artifacts at +22, +13, and +13, BP 105 k, 95 k, and 90 k.  The tide gives their BP a huge boost compared to the overall BP that’s shown for them.

I was wondering the same thing myself.  And, I’m curious if Moonton set it up so the Tacticians are taking in the boosts from all ground type units (From Talents).  So, it would be possible they are receiving all benefits from fighters AND defenders.  But, that’s just my own little theory o.O

Due to the inherent benefit that Tacticians are getting in Tide, they should be first in the list for BP affiliation. Lords>Fighters>Marksman>Tacticians should be the focus for GVG.

I think they might get it from whatever their other stance does as well. Like Valara is ranged so she gets a marksman and a fighter. Mordian is fighter and tank. Possible way to test might be to take a tank out so you only have two and see if you still get the bonus for having three tanks?
