Watcher of Realms Patch Notes – January 9, 2025

Here are the official Watcher of Realms update notes for January 9, 2025, including hero optimizations, gear system improvements, Guild War Season 7 updates, Camp additions, Skin Shop releases, and more.

Patch Overview

• Heroes: Visual optimizations, animation fixes, and a new Bond Skill added for Kigiri.
• Gear: Ancient gear drop rate and quality improvements, recommendation rule updates, and gear management improvements.
• Guild: Guild War Season 7 begins with schedule optimizations and new Demon Soldiers.
• Other Updates: New achievements, Camp content updates, Skin Shop additions, and gameplay optimizations.

Heroes

Hero Optimizations and Fixes

• Lyra, The Cosmic Seer: Optimized some special effects.
• Volka, The Blood Mother: Optimized Basic ATK animation.
• Zilitu, Infernal Temptress: Fixed an issue where Soul Siphoning only dealt Lvl. 1 DMG during the Ultimate.
• Ardea, Blade of the Inferno: Fixed an issue where the circular blade from her Talent would sometimes fire in an incorrect direction.
• Narvi, Deepdelver: Fixed the hero’s Ultimate trigger logic during Auto-fights.

Kigiri: The Undying Ronin

• Newly added a Bond Skill.

[Path of the Exiled]: When you obtain [Yuri: Foxfire Kitsune], after Sweeping Strike is activated, restores 10% HP, and after Ember Strike is activated, restores 25% HP.

[Yuri: Foxfire Kitsune] will be introduced in the upcoming updates.

Gear

• The following gear sets will no longer have Healing Effect as a Secondary Attribute on their Ancient gear pieces: Fatality, Curse, Fracture, Hawk Eye, Mana Spring, Annihilating Might, Whirlwind, Calamity, The Glacier, Night Terror, The Styx, The Doom, The Wisdom, The Insight, Warlord, Ageless Wrath, Soulbound Arcana, Infernal Roar, Hell’s Lament, Cataclysm, Wicked Vengeance.
• Increased Ancient gear‘s drop rate.
• Increased the chance of Ancient gear having more high-quality Secondary Attributes.
• Added Exclusive Gear for certain heroes.
• Increased the number of recommendation rules in [Recommendation Settings] from 20 to 25.
• For Custom Rules in [Recommendation Settings], 2-piece sets can now be filtered by Primary Attributes.

Tip: For 2-piece sets, the Weapon’s Primary Attribute is fixed as ATK, while the Breastplate’s Primary Attribute is fixed as HP.

• Optimized the process of equipping heroes with gear. Players will no longer automatically return to [Hero List] after equipping gear.
• Added an option of “+0” in [Gear Filter] for gear that has not been enhanced.
• You can directly sell or lock newly forged Artifacts as soon as you receive them.

Guild

S7 Starts

• The second run of Guild War – Gladiator’s Gauntlet begins.

Guild War and Guild Updates

• Preparation Phase Adjustment: Extended the Preparation Phase at the start of each Guild War season by one week, during which Gladiator’s Gauntlet will take place.
• New season-exclusive Demon Soldier [Frostbourne Scholar] arrives.
• Commanders can now obtain the S6-exclusive Demon Soldier – Infernal Cleric through Gear Raid.
• Significantly increased Guild Coin rewards for each Guild War attack.
• Guild Shop upgraded: Ancient Summoning Crystal redemption is now available for Lvl. 5 Guilds.
• Demon Soldier drop preview is now available in Gear Raid – Demon Soldier Chest.
• If you have unclaimed rewards from [Drake’s Chasm] or [Titanic Ruins] when leaving or being removed from your Guild, these rewards will be sent to you via mail. However, if you leave your Guild before the rewards are released, you won’t receive any compensation.

Other Updates

• Added two secret Achievements in Camp: [Eat your way to something Legendary!] and [Taste a delicacy from Ancient times.].
• Added new content to Hero’s Visit in Camp. Heroes will now stay longer in Camp and issue new series of quests after their arrival.
• Added vibration alerts when [Background Fight] and [Auto-fight] end.
• Added display mode options on the Hero page, which can be unlocked after clearing Campaign Stage N8-4.

New Releases in the Skin Shop

• Penumbral King – Silas
• Imperial Hydra – Ymiret
• Golden Aegis – Olague

• Added gifting feature to [Skin Shop].
• Increased the discount for [Shard: Legendary Summoning Crystal] in the Black Market of [Dwarven Association], allowing Commanders to purchase it at a more favorable price.
• Increased the drop rate of [Mythic Extract] in all Extreme 2 stages of [Promotion Raid].
• Optimized display on low-resolution devices.
• Optimized some Camp upgrade quests.
• Optimized certain Odyssey quests.
• Optimized certain combat visual effects.
• Removed the option for Mythic gear from [Auto-fight] > [Rarity of Gear to be sold automatically].
